Muxite privacy policy

This policy covers the Muxite app for iPhone and iPad and this website, muxite.com.
The app
Muxite is a client for a Muxite server, which you or someone you trust runs. The app connects only to the server address you type in. It keeps two things on the device: that address and the session token from signing in. Signing out deletes both.
The app has no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no crash-reporting service, and no access to your location or contacts. It does not track you.
The server
Your media library and your account live on the server, not with the developer of Muxite. Whoever runs the server decides what it keeps. Some optional features send requests to other services with the server operator’s own credentials (a subtitle search sends the words you typed to OpenSubtitles, for example), only when you use them and only if the operator has set them up.
This website
muxite.com is static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other sites.
